There way too many of these markers! There are sections of civil war soldiers, both for the union and the confederacy.
I took the day off, from the moving madness and went to Jefferson Barracks. I have wanted to see this place since we moved here. There have been a few news stories about it lately and I just decided I was going to see it! It is a beautiful, holy place. I am so glad that I went! There were two funerals there today, with full military honors. I did my best to not be seen. I didn't really want to watch one either......I went to one for a friend who was killed in Viet Nam...the 21 gun salute is really hard to take. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to our brave service men and women. Freedom isn't free!

i think pictures like that always put things in perspective. it's weird how even though i have been to Iraq and back, i still don't see myself as a "real" veteran. i guess you have to have a disability or something to show for it. anyway, glad to say that i have been there and done that!!

Where is Jeffersons barracks? and I love these pictures. Freedom is not free! We must be vigilent in keeping our leaders in check. As if they listen to regular people. If GW signs the L.O.S.T.treaty I will be sooooooooooo disheartened. He will become a trator to the country he has sent our sons to war to defend and die for. HOW can it be???
