Last Week

Hello All! It's me, Jamie, guest-blogging for The Nana, who is a bit under the weather this fine Sabbath Day. She had her third CHOP treatment on Friday and some Neulasta on Saturday, so she is resting up right now. She has been asking me to update her blog for a few days, and I just now got a nice quiet moment. So here's the week in review: When I arrived from Montana on Tuesday evening, we had a quadruple-date to Gustav's Bavarian Restaurant here in Vancouver. Mom felt pretty good for our first 4 days here, so she got to have some fun with the Grays and her grandsons (there are five of them here--Cody, Tyler, Jacob, Sam, and my James)...

Friday morning, mom wrangled her posse over to Northwest Cancer Specialists for her third treatment. The whole gang waited in the lobby...

So all went well! We are half way through this chemo craziness as of this week. Mom will have a CAT scan to check her progress and make sure that evil little tumor is shrinking away, and then we've just got three more treatments and radiation to deal with. Mom is doing so great--she has learned the timing- some "tricks of the trade"-and she hasn't been so sick this time around. Thanks everybody for all your love and support!
