We made it through church

I am sad I forgot the camera yesterday when I went to pick up the kids, it was a beautiful drive down to Cottage Grove, Ore. The drive home wasn't so nice. It took 4 hrs, to do a 2 1/2 hr drive. Bad waether and bad traffic.......the kids were great for being in the car for about 8 hrs. They had a little down time in the Mickey D's where we had lunch, so it was all good.

Ok, I do not know how I ever got 8 kids ready and to church on time......We made it today! My day started nice and early about 6:30 to be exact...I turned over and smelled the good ol' smell of peed bed, and sure enough Spence, bless his heart (MR. I don't wear diapers to bed, I wear underware!!) did pee my bed......so he had a bath at the crack of dawn, and I started getting the kids ready for church, one at a time. He was bathed and was derssed and eating breakfast while I bathed Mabes, and then she was eating while I did Mel and Abbys' hair, then they went down stairs and kept an eye on things while I fixed ties, and combed Liam and Marshalls' hair....We made it on time and they were pretty good in Sacrament meeting.....I had to take Maeby out for a minute. They all went to primary and I took The little screamer to my class. We meet in the gym so she kicked her soccer ball and ran around for 40 min. Then she was pertty good for 3rd hour. So I've made it for 24 hrs, and we're all still smilin'...that's good!

hahahahaha! Oh my goodness, I don't know how you did it either with 8 kids but I see that you still have your touch!

Matt and I spoke in church today and I watched two boys from the stand that apparently were not my boys cause they were so good! They sat with an older couple who are friends of ours and I sat in disbelief almost the whole time cause they were being so good! Apparently it's not them, it's me! haha. Cause they are generally a little harder to handle when Matt and I are with them. ha! Oh well, we'll get there!

Hey- Details on a girls night out coming up next weekend on my blog! I would really like it if you could come!

love amie

Were we on time, the 10 of us??? I dunno...but I agree, it's tough. Sorry about the pee! Sometimes on Saturday night I just feel like crying because getting ready for church is SUCH an ordeal. I am just grateful we live close enough for Rich to come home and feed the kids between PEC and sacrament meeting while I hurry and get my poop in a group.I am so glad Addie has leared how to put her clothes on and brush out her hair by herself. Having a big girl helper make a world of difference! I must have been AWESOME! ;) Love ya...the kids look so cute! I'm jealous, I miss my posties!

I apologize because I can only imagine what a brat face I was getting ready! Thats why all our brushes broke! The kids look so cute- and a bit confused. Are they sad at all? RC misses them! I bet Maeby just loves Syd. Take more pictures of them soon! I am glad you get to spend this time with them! Are you ready for the Petersen kids?!!!
