Beacon Rock

This is the beginning of a hummingbird feeder
That is the melted glass, he starts with
Thak kiln keeps the glass at 2000 degrees
blowing the air into the glass
The finished product, before he broke it off the pipe.
On the way home we saw a sign for a free glass blowing demonstration, so we went to see that. This is where we gave up on going to the top
on the way up the trail
my sweet Abby
pensive Marshall
we made itto the bottom! Yea!

Picnic area boat launch and docks

View from the trail up the rock

This is Beacon Rock, just sticking up there all by itself
"Run free little Bob...run free"
looking back toward Vancouver, it's on the other side of that hill
They found some drift wood, so we brought it home to decorate the garden

We went exploring today, it sounded like more fun than doing chores, so we went to Beacon Rock. It is on the Washington side of the Gorge. You can climb all the way to the top, but we didn't....I'll have to work up to that....as it is now I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow...my legs feel like jello right now. Any way we had fun and saw some more of our beautiful neighborhood.
